Mike mentors a select few entrepreneurs and serves as an advisor/board member with several startup businesses in Southern California. Additionally, he writes the blog “The Art and Science of Success in Business” and is author of two books: The Interactive Pocket Guide for Entrepreneurs” and “The Spirit of Adventure”.
Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Saint Mary’s University (MD) in Accounting/Economics, and learned computers and software while a sales rep for IBM starting in 1964. He has also experienced Life as a race car driver, open-cockpit biplane pilot, competitive pool shooter, freestyle Frisbee player, and yogi. It seems that he can never learn enough.
Hansen was co-founder/CEO at ID Analytics, leading the company from 2002 through to a $195 million exit in 2012. Prior, he was President at HNC Software Inc. (NASDAQ: HNCS), a pioneering $1 billion+ global provider of analytic software solutions.
Hansen was named Ernst & Young's 2007 San Diego Entrepreneur of the Year and one of four 2007 National Finalists. In 1998, he was named the Los Alamos National Laboratory's Entrepreneur of the Year for his work with CASA.
Currently, Hansen serves on several boards including Performant Financial (NASDAQ: PFMT), MITEK (NASDAQ: MITK), Zyme Solutions, BrightScope, Everyone Counts, and the San Diego Venture Group.
Hansen earned a B.A. from Harvard and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Asaf is passionate about developing great software, building successful sales teams, and delivering customer service as a competitive advantage. At iMatrix, Asaf built the company from start up to over 10,000 active clients, 140 employees, and over $1.4 million in MRR.
Asaf’s hobbies include spending time with his wife and four kids, sports cars, and the occasional skydive. Asaf serves as an advisor/board member with several startup businesses in San Diego and earned his bachelor’s degree in communication from UCSD.
Pete’s latest passion is location based mobile apps. His last company was Trapster, the mobile phone app that alerts you to police speed traps, accidents, and other roadway wallet hazards. He scaled Trapster to more than 10,000,000 users, with a thriving active user base world-wide. Trapster spread virally through word of mouth and the press, because it was a simple and free solution to a real problem millions of people have. Trapster was featured 100’s of times on live TV, and on the front page of the WSJ, NY Times, USA Today, MotorTrend, and 100’s of other publications. All of this was done on a shoestring budget, with zero spent on advertising. Trapster was acquired by Nokia in 2010.
Previously Pete focused on Internet infrastructure. He helped create Cisco’s PIX Firewall with $7 billion in sales, and the first server load balancer, now a cornerstone technology in most commercial Web sites.
Pete is an inventor of record on 15 US patents. He studied Math/CS/Physics at San Diego State University.
He started his digital marketing career in 1999 at web analytics pioneer WebSideStory, where he spent nine years helping the company build value for its Fortune 500 customers. Olivier co-founded Tealium in 2008, a leading universal tag management company. In 2011 he joined Certona Corp. to lead the revenue optimization team. As a wine aficionado, Olivier started VinoMatch, a worldwide search engine project to help people find wine.
Olivier holds a bachelor’s in electronics and an MBA from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers, one of the leading business schools in France.
Evan holds a bachelor's in Entrepreneurship and Finance from The University of Arizona. He is a firm believer in "the ideal product isn't when you can't add anything else but there is nothing else you can remove" - Focus.
Charles brings a wealth of experience to Sony electronics in the US with more than 18 years in various sales and marketing functions within Sony. He has in managed multimillion dollars businesses for Sony across the globe and has worked at Sony’s European headquarters, Sony France, and Sony Nordic, covering Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. Most recently as Sony Nordic’s commercial head, Charles was responsible for the sales and marketing of the consumer product group. He played a significant leadership role in the transformation of the Nordic business, from a country-focused organization to an account and channel-focused organization, delivering bottom line results and growing consumer market share to 20 percent.
Charles graduated from Boston University’s School of Management and resides in San Diego, California with his wife and two children.
He currently serves on several boards as advisor in Startups, Academia and Tech Associations
John has over a decade of commercial real estate industry experience as an owner/developer and broker. Prior to CBRE he worked in private equity acquiring portfolios of distressed assets. John was recently appointed to lead the Occupier Life Sciences Practice for CBRE in San Diego. In this role, he is responsible for generating and executing business on behalf of occupiers within the life sciences industry.
Mr. Hundley completed a Bachelor of Arts at Point Loma Nazarene University, a Master of Christian Studies from Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia and a Master of Science in Real Estate from University of San Diego at the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate.
Ram is passionate about building and leading teams to tackle challenging market problems. At Active Network, Ram helped establish and scale a number of a business units and get them on track for healthy, profitable growth. At GE healthcare, Ram helped turn around a number of business helping them get profitable, improve customer satisfaction, and launch new products to the market. He has led global companies (+$600MM) and smaller ones (<$5MM) and loves the challenges both present.
Ram serves as an advisor with several startup businesses in San Diego, has an MBA from Chicago’s booth school of business and an undergraduate engineering degree from UVA. He has served on the executive committee at SDSI and is committed to seeing businesses grow and thrive in San Diego.
He has served (and continues to serve) on the board of directors of several companies.
Bob served the Executive Director of Software San Diego (San Diego's trade group for the industry) He has served on the Board of Directors of San Diego EDC and CONNECT. He is also the “ambassador” for Southern California for CANIETI, the major technology trade association of Mexico.
